Design Overview
A super- insulated, stone clad passive solar home with two story south-facing solarium to heat the large thermal mass enclosed within this light- filled space.- located on a peninsula of a lake in rural Alabama.
Design features
Insulated concrete slab – thermal mass- in solarium. Full walk-out basement/ activity area with access to lower level of solarium. Living, activity spaces look out into the solarium- some with cantilevered decks. Northwest detached garage. Exterior – stone and cementatious siding clad, boathouse.

South-facing 2- story vented solarium, thermal mass.
