Tim Montgomery is the owner and principal architect of TMA Architects LLC. Born in Hannibal, Missouri, raised in St. Louis County, he graduated from the University of Missouri at Rolla in 1971 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME). He practiced for some 7-8 years as a consulting M.E., Plant Engineer, including several years as a solar designer in Colorado in the mid 1970's - returning to St. Louis in 1979 to pursue his Masters of Architecture at Washington University (M Arch- 1983). He is a registered architect in many states, including Missouri, where he obtained his initial registration.
Tim has thirty five years experience in a broad range of architecture, engineering and project management for commercial facilities and residential design - specializing now in sustainable, “Green” design and rehab. He is a USGBC LEED AP. and has won awards for sustainable design.
